Move Over Mrs Markham |
Written By: Ray Cooney & John Chapman
Performed: 1994
Three couples separately plan to use an empty flat for some extra-marital high jinks while the owners, Philip and Joanna Markham, are out for the evening.
Philip's partner in their publishing business, the randy Henry Lodge, has designs on his latest girlfriend, while the object of Henry's wife Linda's affections for the evening is the dapper Walter Pangbourne.
Even the Markham's flamboyant interior designer, Spenlow, wants some of the action, with the au pair, Sylvie.
Needless to say, nothing goes according to plan, as the Markhams return home unexpectedly, and the crusty children's author Olive Harriet Smythe turns up to sign a lucrative contract for Philip and Henry.
Move Over Mrs Markham is a very funny farce by two masters of the genre
and was performed on 14th and 15th October 1994. | |
