Set in the early 1980's , Not With A Bang is a wry and amusing look at the nuclear disarmament issue. When their wives first join the Women's Peace Movement, Nobby, Tommy and Ken, pals in the Territorial Army, treat it as a bit of a joke. But as the women become more and more involved - demonstrating outside American air-bases, rallying to support the women of Greenham Common- the men find themselves the laughing stock of their TA battalion. The final straw comes when the women, in an attempt to make their husbands give up the army, go on sexual strike with the slogan 'No Nooky Against the Nukes.
