Robinson Crusoe & The Pirates |
Written By: Paul Reakes
Performed: 2011
11, 12, 18 & 19 February 2011
The Crusoe boys, Robinson and Willy, find themselves thwarted in their hopes of marrying their sweethearts. Luckily Robinson inherits his uncle's treasure map and sails away with Willy and their mother, Ma Crusoe, in search of untold wealth. Unluckily the villanous pirates Blackbeard and Patch intend to steal the map.... This is a romp in the best pantomime tradition with plenty of laughs and audience participation.
With so many people attending auditions we were very lucky to be able to cast a lot of new (and a few old) faces in this production. Both weekends of performances went very well and audience feedback has been very positive - see below

Just to say how excellent the performance was! My mum, dad, best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance, and a huge well done to the performers who did a superb job! Particularly enjoyed James Schofield's character, Bessie! He did a wonderful job and made us all laugh! Also well done to all the dancers. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for next year's performance and again well done!

Last night was one of the most enjoyable performances that Joy and I have ever been to. The Crondall Entertainers are in a class of their own. I thought Mags' performance was brilliant as well as the rest of the cast. We look forward to seeing other performances in the future.

Just to say thanks for a very enjoyable evening of entertainment. My husband and I had a good laugh at all the antics, excellent singing and a brilliant peformance by James, who I look forward to seeing in a professional play one day.
Mustn't forget the wonderful costumes in particular the Neptune scene.

Dear Cast, Production team and all who worked on the show.
Just wanted you to know how much my grandson and I appreciaited your production of "Robinson Crusoe & The Pirates". As an ex-drama teacher, I am fully aware of the work that goes into such a show and I thought that it was excellent. The fun and enthusiasm was truely infectious and at a time of winter gloom, economic blues etc it was a wonderful lift to the spirits. Well done everyone!
I would like to say a special well done to James Schofield who reminded me so much of one of my grandsons when performing! You were all brilliant and thankyou so much for giving your time to such an enterprise. I have been coming to see some of your shows since 1997 when I bought my eldest grandson, now 20, to see Robin Hood and they have all been excellent. So on with the show!
Yours in admiration - Jill Sullivan

I came to see the pantomime last Saturday afternoon and thought it was fantastic! I asked one of the cast if the dancers were from one of the local dance or stage schools and was amazed to be told it was not! Not only was their dancing excellent , I thought the choreography was also really professional.
Well done to all the cast and all those involved in this really wonderful panto!

Thanks to our pals, Carolyn and Tony Waite, my husband and I have had the pleasure of attending many of the productions by this fabulous group. We have always had a number of our local Camberley pals with us - in fact they now remind us to invite them to any Crondall production!
We have had many absolutely wonderful evenings in Crondall and never cease to marvel at the professionalism of your productions and the talent both on and off the stage. "Robinson Crusoe" was exceptional - the props, the costumes, the lighting, the sound, the acting and dancing, and, last but not least, the directing.
Congratulations to everyone who was involved in both this and previous productions. We look forward to viewing many more!
Our sincere thanks to every solitary person who has been involved in any way.
