Snow White

The Crondall Entertainers production of Snow White was performed on 14th & 15th January 1983.



I have been asked to write a quick appreciation of the Crondall Entertainers' pantomime – and needed little persuasion. Didn't they do well? It was so obvious that an enormous amount of effort and enthusiasm had been put into the show and I am sure all would agree – on both sides of the curtain – that it was well worthwhile. The ingenious and very attractive sets, the clever and colourful costumes and the music and lighting of the high standard we have come to expect, all contributed to the atmosphere in which the acting, singing and dancing entertained us so well.

The audience was a bit ‘sticky' on the Friday night when was there. We need more practice in dropping our inhibitions for joining in the fun. And good family fun it was. I think the wicked queen could have looked a lot nastier before the children would have been afraid. I wonder how many of us though – after the laughter and barracking – suddenly found ourselves blinking back a real tears! The poignancy of Dopey's singing as the dwarfs mourned their lovely Snow White was incredibly moving.

Yes, we did appreciate your efforts – Entertainers all. Here's to next time!
